Mission Moroto Stories – Joseph Lopeyok

I am Joseph Lopeyok.

Our family, we are blessed with three children. I am third born.

As I began to grow I started making charcoal for the survival of the family.

In addition to that I started the life of being a shepherd boy looking for animals which is common for boys in Karamoja. I started school at Nawanatau Primary School in Moroto direction from P.1 to P.3.

In 2018 I went to Pastor Noah’s place to meet and I asked for his help and he told me to water his plants every morning and evening for two weeks and then he told me to come to his home in town on Monday and the next day he took me to Mission Moroto and helped me and introduced me to the organization and included me with the boys being helped there.

I joined Rupa Primary School where the rest of the boys were studying. A month later, I heard that Bill our founder had died. I and the other boys were very sad but we kept on praying to God because we thought no one would help us now that Bill had died. We kept praying and then God sent us Rebekah and all of you to help us and that is my life.

God bless you and Pastor Matt and Mum Lisa, Lopeyok Joseph
